ABSN Program in New Jersey Overview

If you have at least 60 non-nursing college credits or a non-nursing bachelor’s degree, our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program can fast-track your nursing career. The ABSN program in New Jersey builds on your existing education so you can dive right into the nursing curriculum on the first day of class.

Following a full-time learning format, our ABSN program combines fundamental coursework with hands-on nursing labs and in-person clinical rotations.

Overall, it’s a rigorous curriculum that requires hard work and dedication to make it through. And when you do, you’ll be prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN® with confidence and enter the profession as a registered nurse.

ABSN Coursework Options

As a Felician ABSN student, you have the option to complete our 16-month Hybrid ABSN program in Parsippany, New Jersey, or our 18-month On-Ground ABSN program in Rutherford, New Jersey. While both accelerated nursing programs utilize the same ABSN curriculum, there are slight differences between the two.

16-Month Online-Based ABSN Program

Students enrolled in the Hybrid ABSN program complete the fundamental coursework online, attend nursing labs at our off-campus facility in Parsippany, and complete clinicals at local healthcare facilities. This ABSN program in New Jersey has three start dates per year in January, May, and August.

18-Month On-Ground ABSN Program

Students enrolled in the On-Ground ABSN program in New Jersey complete the fundamental coursework and nursing labs at our Rutherford campus and attend clinicals at local healthcare facilities. This program has one start date per year in May.  

Real-Life Experiences

At our ABSN learning sites in Parsippany and Rutherford, you’ll get hands-on practice in high-tech Nursing Resource and Simulation Center.. There, you’ll also take tests, as well as have a place to study and meet up with classmates and instructors.

You’ll also get diverse, real-life clinical experience through one of our dedicated academic practice partners, Atlantic Health System, as well as other leading care providers in the Newark area.
