Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program Overview
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program could be your quickest path to a BSN degree, allowing you to graduate ready to sit for the NCLEX in as few as 16 or 19 months.
And because our program offers four cohorts each year — with sessions beginning in January, March, May, and August — it’s likely you’ll be able to start earning your degree sooner than with many other programs.
However, our accelerated nursing program isn’t for everyone. To satisfy the eligibility requirements, you must have a non-nursing bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or a minimum of 60 completed credits with a cumulative 3.0 GPA in all undergraduate coursework.
Thanks to the choice in format of our nursing theory coursework, you can complete your courses from the comfort of your home or from a lecture-hall seat on campus.
Students enrolled in our Hybrid ABSN program will learn concepts online through interactive activities and exercises, as well as interact with your instructors and classmates through our learning management system’s built-in chat and discussion forum functions. Not to mention, you choose when you do your coursework. So long as you turn in assignments on time, it doesn’t matter whether you work on them late at night or early in the morning.
Note: The Hybrid ABSN program offers three starts per year in January, May, and August.
Students enrolled in our On-Ground ABSN program will commute to campus regularly to listen to professors deliver nursing theory lectures in-person. You’ll sit next to your classmates and learn together while your professor is just feet away thanks to our low student-to-instructor ratios. Your schedule may have less flexibility, but it will provide a structured routine to help keep you focused on nursing school.
Note: The On-Ground ABSN program offers one start per year in March.
At our ABSN learning sites in Parsippany and Rutherford, you’ll get hands-on practice in high-tech skills and simulation labs. There, you’ll also take tests, as well as have a place to study and meet up with classmates and instructors.
You’ll also get diverse, real-life clinical experience through one of our dedicated academic practice partners, Atlantic Health System, as well as other leading care providers in the Newark area.
A career in nursing is closer than you think. Give us a call today, or fill out the form to have an admissions counselor call you, to learn more about how you can earn your BSN in as few as 16 months.
